the skull is just right of the tower next to the sun go into monitor mode, spawn a two way teleporter and pick one up go as high as you can and begin flying toward the skull, using the speed boost the entire way, LT i believe? make sure as you are flying towards it, go up and down so the missiles miss you, LB and Rb i believe? if you can get all the way to the skull you should be praised, however, most of us wont make it all the way there however, since you are going up and down, once your hit, if your alligned correctly, the teleporter should land pretty damn close to the skull use the other side to teleport to it, through down a bubble shield, and congratulations
Turn into the Monitor and stare at the rising sun and look to your right the skull is pressed up aganist the wall. Go theatre mode and have a look for a more accurate description of its location. The soloution youtube brought up is as the Monitor you build a teleport then fly to where the skull is and put another teleporter down near the sky before you die. Problem is I kept blowing up before I got even close so I flew to the skull and pressed the right bumper so the teleport node is pushed away from you. Use the right and left bumper to move up and down avoiding the Guardians auto defences. When you blow up you should drop the teleport close to the skull
Next buy back all the bubble shields and place one next to the first teleport node you made. Go through the teleporter and throw the bubbleshield down. See if your close to the skull if so turn into the monitor and buy another bubbleshield. Use that one to get even closer to the skull, finally turn into the monitor again and throw the last bubbleshield if your close to the skull you can grab it before being blasted to death by the auto defences.

My method was a pain in the ass but it worked, you go into monitor mode, spawn a corner tube, go inside the tube, pick up the tube, fly to the skull, and finally get the skull.
you can get it on forge mode. the easiest way is by doing the overload glitch which disables the turrets allowing you to fly there and get it untouched. Though the hardcore way to get it is by creating a tunnel using pipes and shield walls till u reach it. (other comments have already mentioned its location)

The easiest way I've seen to get this is to do what someguy077 mentioned. Place a trip mine with the shortest respawn time possible and then just keep picking them up and lobbing them until they all blow up. I suggest doing it off one of the taller structures. That will disable the defense artillery and you can just head out there and pick it up. It's a good idea to put some teleports and save the map so you can quickly let others pick it up if they need it as well. These skulls were way easy.
People have found an easier way since the tunnel method.
1) Spawn a trip mine. 2) Go into the trip mine settings and use the instant respawn glitch (set minimum equal to maximum). 3) Stand on the trip mine. 4) Repeatedly tap "x" to drop 50-60 trip mines. 5) Keep adding trip mines until they all explode. 6) Walk safely to the skull slightly to the right of the tower in the direction of the sunset.
How this works: placing the mines overloads the map. The guardians can't respond to your movements.
easy way to get this. get under the map (place a double box, place at start no, start new round, crouch there, wait till it spawns and turn into monitor fast)
then go to the skull and put a 2 way teleporter there (it spawns in the map, not under) start new round make a bubble shield, pick it up, make a 2 way teleporter. go through, throw shield, pick up the skull :)
I know this is an old achievement, but I've only really just got round to being bothered enough to collect these skulls.
The very easiest way I found to do it is to only half build a tunnel. What I mean by this is to create a corner section of a corridor or tunnel (or whatever they call it), then in monitor mode, get inside the section you just created, pick it up and fly it over to the skull location (mentioned in previous posts). If you've done it right you should be able to see where you're going out of one side of it, but because it's entirely enclosed behind you, even though the towers will shoot at you, they can't hit you. When you reach the skull, put down the tunnel, switch to normal mode and pick up the skull.
Should take around 2 mins, and saves the hastle of having to build a full tunnel all the way there.
