the key to this achievement is based around communication. Often times teammates see that one area is "under attack" which causes most of the team to rally around that area. This leaves the other area vulnerable and starts a vicious cycle that will cause you to lose the first phase.
Make sure the teams are spread out enough to monitor the areas from different angles. also, make sure skill levels are about even at the different areas. If this means having 2 people at an area and 4 at the other, so be it. Do whatever it takes to defend the areas and you'll get the bleep bloop!!!

this is so very true. often times people just try to be heroes and get the kills rather than trying to secure the position
If you just want this achievement, here's a quick rundown of a solid strategy:
Take some friends and lock down the areas depending on skill. On Boneyard, have someone take the DMR, and Spire the Needle Rifle. I did this with 2 friends, and guarded one on my own and had them guard the other. Call out which one the enemy is going for, which is really easy on both maps because the attackers have really open spawns (this is why you want the DMR/Needle rifle, it's really easy to pick them off because they can't constantly stay in cover. At worst you'll lower their shields for someone else.) If you see a majority of the other team going for one, either call out for some help or go help them out, but never leave one area completely unguarded (especially on Spire, because the objectives are farther away from eachother.) Let the random guys run around and do whatever they want. I got this on my first Invasion game ever, but I was alone and just had the luck to have a good team. What I've been talking about is what I do now.
Last night i got the " monument for all your sins " achievebel and thought why not get the skunked while im at it. Must have played about 15 matches an every single f^%$ng time at the 10Sec mark i got screwed. If any one wants to do this like professionals my gamertag is : Tw0 T1mes
It's easy to get on Invasion on Boneyard. If you're doing it on other maps and you can't communicate with your teammates, just follow one rule: if one station is being attacked and everyone else is rushing to defend it, just stay at the other station. That way it's not unprotected. Right after I got the achievement on Boneyard, my team did the same thing on Spire.
If only we could get about 8 or 9 people into a single match (that is about 1.5 teams) trying to get this it would probably work both ways...of course, that's a pretty sad way to get something like this.
One second left on the clock and they capture the possition, every single fucking time. This is the only achievement I have left to get, not including the DLC achievements. I've been trying for months!
Oh, so you've played me before...
