I got mine in a game of KotH on The Pit. I just grabbed a turret and waited for the hill to spawn next to me. I would wait until two guys were battling in the hill before opening fire. Usually, the other two were on their way by that point and I had a shot at four quick kills. The secret was to draw them in as far as possible before firing.
its still a crappy achievement to get! theres always one smartass who will wait until everyone else has softened each other up and steal one or two of your valuable kills before you get a chance to knock him off
i allmost got it on construct with the sword, at the main grav lift juist kept stabbin them then the forth guy was a douche and decided to wait before coming up, it suuucked. but a friend a mine got it on epitaph with swords he also got stepping razor and triple kill
I got mine on a Swords match on Snowbound. There were two guys Sword Dueling, and I threw a Frag Grenade, killing them both. Then I surprised two people coming around the corner underground. The other day I got a Killtacular on Blackout, but it went by in a flash, so I don't quite know how I got it. Wow, I just made a journal entry.
This is the most annoying achievement in Halo 3. I have gotten SO FUCKING CLOSE to getting this one before, but every time I'm killing that 4th and final guy, he grenade spams. Or something as equally noobish. I can't understand how I have gotten a Triple Kill, and Killing Frenzy, but not this one.
Mine was lucky. I kind of stole a kill from someone, beat him down, stole his shotgun, shottied the guy coming after me, then shottied another guy running right at me spraying Assault Rifle fire. I was really surprised when that happened.
I just got mine today. I'll probably have to review the tape to see the extent to which I was kill-stealing, but it was Crazy King on the Pit, and although I was mostly hoping to get Steppin' Razor, I basically just grabbed dual SMGs, gunned my way through two guys, then gunned/melee'd two more just before getting killed. I'm rather proud of myself for managing it without power weapons or grenades.
Then I tried to celebrate rather pathetically by blowing myself up.
I've come close to getting it. Oddball on Epitaph, the ball was dropped outside a doorway and I just hammered away as people came for it. I accidentally grabbed the ball on triple kill and got beat down before I could finish it off.
I got this on team capture the hill on construct, i was playing a bunch of noobs and they were all standing in the hill, and from across the map i threw two frag grenades, not really expecting much and then i see i recieved the overkill and extermination medal. Later in theater i watched too see what happened, and since they were all cuddeling inside the hill, one grenade lowered their shields, the next scattered their bodies. god bless noobs
finnaly got 2 days ago last achievment i needed to unlock all achievment related armours had to melle with rocket laucher as they bubble shielded against my last rocket
Took me what felt like forever (about 3 months). I would always get triples, but that overkill would just never come. Then, yesterday, just as I was about to give up, I was playing Oddball on Guardian, and I threw a grenade in the center section, taking out two guys, one of which who had the ball, and I picked it up. A guy came at me from the right, and I beat him down, and I was at the triple, and then I saw a guy coming at me from Gold, and we both jumped the gap and I did a mid air slam dunk on his face for my very first overkill.
Right a few friends and i are going to get numerous Lone Wolves achievements such as Two For One, Overkill etc... using the language loop hole, message me if you want to get them too GT - Stu Moir 1994
