Average lines per page

Hello every one, new to the group, also new to writing but I feel its something I want to get into. Also thanks for the writing tips thread, helped bunches. Anyways,

I was just curious about the average format of book as well as the amount of lines per page.

Can you be more specific in your question? It's not really possible to have an "average" number of lines per page, as the number can differ for a variety of mundane reasons (depending on the publisher, between editions of a book, between hardcover and paperback versions, etc). Format is a very personal decision, and has to do with the kind of impression you're hoping to make with the book. I suppose that a "standard" format would consist of a book divided into chapters, each on numbered in ascending numerical order, containing some amount of paragraphs. But there are so many other formatting aspects, it's hard to imagine any one template.
