Trophy Murder!

Who is up for murdering some more Gods?? Gus and I are back, heading through Olympia, picking up Eyes, Feathers and Horns. Woo hoo!

I'm enjoying this game quite a bit. It does hurt to not get my achieveables, seeing the trophies light up is pretty neato too.

Gawd of Whar!

G'morning folks. Today I bring you the first in a series of God of War 3 tutorials. I figured the best thing to do would be to show off all the hidden items scattered throughout the game, so....I did that.

I apologize, it's early, and it's the day after St. Patrick's day...cut me some slack. Go enjoy my first Trophy Hunter vid. I'm going to go sleep now.

Top 5 Fictional Aircraft

”I wanted a name with Falcon in it, but apparently that going to be taken in a few hundred years…”

5. Ebon Hawk – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

It’s hard to call this ship a rip-off of a more famous spaceship, after all, it technically came years before it. Much like the similar movie ship, this is the main form of transport for the protagonist of KotOR…. or is that antagonist? In either case, the ship’s fast and can hold it’s own in a space-dog fight!

”SHEEIIILLLAAAAA!”

4. Pelican – Halo

I have to reference Caboose here, but if the Pelican can carry vehicles that have weapons on them, why doesn’t it have more weapons on it than just the mounted turret at the back? Still, it does the trick for the UNSC of being a fast and effective troop transport, able to drop directly from a warship from low orbit. We’ve seen more than one of these craft crash during the Halo campaign, but it’s an iconic craft, and that’s the reason for it being on this list.

”Highwind ain’t got nothing on me!”

3. Ragnarok – Final Fantasy VIII

In fairness to the Highwind, almost any of the airships from the Final Fantasy games could take the space on the list. Nothing makes the FF world maps better than being able to navigate them from the air, finding hidden areas that just aren’t accessible by any other means. Ragnarok though, looks beastly, it’s no surprise that it’s a bit of a favourite among fans.

”I’m fed up of barrel rolls, I wanna do loop-de-loops.”

2. AR-Wing – Star Fox series

Fast, accurate and just a little bit awesome. These preferred methods of combat for the Star Fox team have made a number of appearances throughout the series of games, most notable the Lylat Wars title for the N64. It has become such an iconic ship that it (along with The Great Fox) appear a number of times in the Nintendo mash-up games, Super Smash Brothers. Oh, and despite the quote, do a barrel roll for God’s sake!

”Assuming direct control.” “Knock it off EDI.”

1. Normandy SR-2 – Mass Effect 2

Spoiler alert, the first one got blown up! Now that that’s out of the way, the Normandy SR-1 was the most advanced ship in the Citadel fleet, and the SR-2 model created privately by Cerberus is better than the original in every way. And with Joker and EDI (the onboard AI for those wanting more “spoilers”) at the helm, there’s not another ship that can out manoeuvre it. Fully upgraded it will not only withstand an attack from a Collector ship, it can also tear it apart in just a few shots, but it’s still roomy enough inside to please all of the crew, especially Shepard who no longer needs to wait 5 minutes in an elevator to go down one level.

Next week I'm going to cover my top 5 Fictional Land Vehicles! Got any suggestions, leave a comment below.

Kartin' Time!

What's up guys? I'm catching up on some videos I actually put up last week and forgot to write a news post about them. Whoops. So, while I keep working on some God of War 3 videos for you, you get to enjoy that OTHER incredibly detailed and grotesque game, "Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing."

This first video is for "Power Drift."

Up next is an easy-to-miss achievement, "Rolling Start."

Lastly, the two super boost-starting achievements "Gaining Ground" and "Wheels of Fire."

Gamers Rapport - 003: Blurred Premonitions

First off: The big stuff. This episode is the first to feature the absolutely AMAZING intro and outro music written AND performed by our very own 8BitBass. I love it, and think you will too. By "very own," I mean that 8bit will continue to be a permanent host on Gamers Rapport. W00T. Secondly this episode also features the editing stylings of Fragger. So thanks for him stepping in and doing a superb job with that. Thirdly, we've got a Community guest with Tudor VII sticking around to say hi, as well as a new segment from Lopez_55/ Mike. In terms of game talk, Knuckles and 8Bit go on about Blur, 8bit shares his first impressions about FFXIII, and Fragger describes a special game close to his heart. What game? Listen and find out. There's also some Borderlands and BFBC2 talk in there too. Third time's the charm, right?

Those voices in your head are none other than Knuckles Dawson, Fragger, & 8bitbass.

Don't forget to join the Gamers Rapport Group for all the latest news and discussion.

Ubisoft have recently confirmed that the Splinter Cell: Conviction demo will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace come March the 18th. Excited? Yeah, I thought so.
