GOOD DEED #131I read this today and it made me realize that we all need to step up when we see someone distraught.
This is actually a story my friend shared on her facebook and twitter and I wanted to share with you because I think it's so important for people to understand that if you see someone in trouble, you should absolutely help them because sometimes all it takes is someone paying attention for someone else to back off.

"We left Old Dublin early tonight, as Eric had previous engagement. On the way to the parking inside PVM, we saw a guy accost a woman. She immediately declined to talk to him. He crowded her, despite repeated refusals literally blocked her to force her to talk to him. Eric and I stopped and walked towards them, because she was obviously getting scared. Guy walked off when he realized we were right there. She walked off the second he moved from in front of her, silently mouthing a fervent "Thank you!" at us. Eric asked her out loud if she was ok, and she answered "Yes, thank you!" and then we each went off our separate ways. On our way down to the car, we kept an eye out for the guy who was walking off with a friend of his.
It was her voice that made us stop and turn, both at the same time. The distress was so, so clear. That guy was literally blocking her way, inches from her, putting his face down next to hers to loom at her & crowd her, force her to stop.
This was in a shopping mall. 7pm, people all around. No one else even blinked. How?"
