I moved out!

...kinda. I'm house and cat sitting at my volunteer coordinator's place for the next two weeks in downtown Edmonton. Should be pretty sweet, even without cable (which I will obviously go home to watch).

The best part? She directly told me that it was cool if I had sex in her house, as long as there are no "really strange women" involved. I'm fairly sure she means prostitutes.

Now all I need are sticky notes, a camera, and a woman to have sex with.

I understand that a lot of socialist states went horribly wrong in the past century, but I don't see what's despicable about wanting to create a livable basic standard of living for Crazy Eddie on the corner so that he can get a bit of an education and contribute to society instead of just yelling "Get a job!" at him and moving on with my life.

The very concept of a livable basic standard of living implies an obligation from you and a part of your life to someone you don't know, who's motives may not be good, and to give them a claim to part of your efforts. That's wrong when done at the point of a gun. Should you CHOOSE to help said individual, AWESOME! If you consider them worthy, GREAT.

In fact, you're totally free right now to donate 100% of your money time and effort to anybody you choose. Nothing is stopping you. What you want however, and what socialism is involves taking somebody ELSES money and effort that you have no right to, just because you think it's a worthy cause.

The actions taken by a socialist government if done by an individual would constitute a crime and get somebody put away in prison forever.

Socialism, Communism etc is horrible for several reasons.
1) It's prohibited by our Constitution, the supreme law of the land with no exception.
2) It kills the human spirit and the reward for effort. From each according to their ability, and to each according to their need. Seems I heard that somewhere. Where is the incentive to work hard, excel, achieve, start a business etc when anything and everything you have can be taken away at a whim of a politician.
3) It removes the power of choice (i.e. Freedom) from you, and gives it to somebody else whom you HOPE has good intentions. (although they frequently do not)

Simply put, it's YOUR responsibility to take care of yourself unless you CHOOSE to spend your effort elsewhere.

Nobody said you didn't have access as a mod. It is however an abuse of your miniscule power to intrude on my journal with your socialist ideals. I didn't ask for them and don't want them.

That doesn't automatically make me all-knowing nor all powerful, but it does make me experienced. I'm also quite educated and have had ample exposure to all the systems you and your friends want to "educate" me on.

I don't need education from you. You may be a nice guy. Hell, I might even like you if I met you in person. But if you were to throw your socialist bullshit at me in person, moderator, friend or not, i'd squash you like a termite.

You don't outrank me. At all. You're a moderator on a website, not a god, and you've intruded into my space to push forth your agenda. I'm afraid that's typical liberal rubbish. Not to say there aren't assholes on the conservative side. There certainly are.

I'm also not a Republican. In fact today (of all days) I got an unsolicited call from the Republican National Committee asking for money. srstrufax I told them to fuck off and never call me again lest i prosecute. I'm an equal opportunity offender and damn proud of it.

Maybe someday you and I can be friends. But until the socialistic entitlement bender you and others are on is OVER, that's not likely to happen.

Thanks for stopping by and the semi-reasonable manner in which you conducted yourself. However, I find socialists, communists, marxists, leninists as despicable and contrary to clearly defined constructs of the united states.

While you're clearly free to hold whatever viewpoints you want, I'm am not interested in what you have to say nor do I find it of any value whatsoever. Whether you think it's public or not is irrelevant. I didn't not shove it in your face nor did I invite you in.

Hey LB need your help on a ruling, the deadline for games in the UK league was 12:00am GMT last night and two games were played before that time but not submitted, do they go down as unplayed games or can they still be registered? I wasn't 100% sure and considering this is the team getting into the players or not based on this just thought I'd get your opinion.

I can see where you are coming from in this decision and are for the most part fine with it. I was just defending myself after Scet said he didn't miss my absence in the forum. Albeit I went a little overboard, but if we really did care about death's in the community, we would take Ninj0's threat of suicide seriously instead of a cheap way to get a few funny's (Like I did). I should have clarified that 'I' would not miss ScetShin if he happily passed on. In fact, I would dance on his grave. He cheats in video games, I can't imagine what he's like in real life.
