So voter registration has kicked off full force in Libya under the banner of:
Register and participate in the election of the National Congress
I have to give the guys here some credit, they did a pretty smart thing in putting registration stations inside local schools (elementary, middle, and high). There's even an
online website dedicated to providing information about the elections, and locations of where someone can go to register. This is pretty exciting. Unofficial numbers state that 2.5 million citizens are eligible to vote, and so far voter registration has reached something around 700K. Though i can't confirm either numbers, but its good to see that the voting spirit is high here in Libya.
I believe elections will begin sometime mid June. This is gonna be interesting.
Sallamu Alaikum.
