Well I'll be...I was curious to as to why I was getting emails this morning with so many about receiving personal comments on my RT profile and now I know (knowing is half the battle for any of you kids born in the 90s. Look it up) that I'm today's Featured User! Thanks to everyone who has already said it and to any who will say it.
I've been around RT since Red vs Blue was in its infancy. My cousin showed me the first three episodes and I was hooked. I joined the site about a month after its initial launch (launched in September 04 and I joined October 04). I've played in the inaugural Winter 08 grifball league, been to PAX Prime and PAX East a bunch, went to RTX last year, and still, from time to time, lurk in the Let's Figure This Out thread.
Sadly real life has taken over a bit too much in the last few months. I'm trying to make it as a soccer writer for MLS and all things American soccer but it is tough to break in when you did not go to school for journalism. Still working a regular job for student loans and such but no matter, I am enjoying writing about the game I love.
Not the first time I've been featured user either. The first time was right before RvB Reconstruction started, which was also around Memorial Day. Best part about season 10 of Red Vs Blue starting? It's my birthday next Monday. Last year I spent my birthday down at RTX in Austin with a ton of great people. Still working if I can make it this year but I doubt it.
Thanks Burnie for being awesome, thanks RT staff for being hilarious, thanks to the RT community for being the best, and to all of my friends on here I've played xbox live with over the years: Borderlands 2 and Halo 4, you know where to find me.

Well well well...The Major League Soccer season is almost over. The New York Red Bulls play against the LA Galaxy on Thursday. If they win, they advance, if they lose or tie the game, LA advances. LA came to NY today and beat us at home, 1-0. It is always fun to boo and jeer David Beckham. Though since it is playoff time, tempers flare and this happened twitpic.com/78fkvj The Mexican looking guy in the Red Bulls jersey, is Rafa Marquez. He has had a terrible season (while being paid 4.6 million dollars) and the fans of this team want him gone. He decided it would be a good idea to throw the ball at an opposing player as the game ended. Another LA player threw a punch, completely missing him but elbowing the Red Bull with the mophead hair. It sure was a great way to end this season at Red Bull Arena. Even if the Red Bulls win out, it will all be done on the road and not in Harrison, NJ. As the MLS season comes to an end I'll be on here more since the EPL is only on Saturday/Sunday mornings at the crack of dawn. I;m even going to post about my games that I play in on a weekly basis.
How the hell has everyone else been doing on here?

Finally...sort of..I finally got to uploading the pictures from RTX onto my computer. Along with all of the pictures I have taken at the soccer matches I got to (Red Bull games, USA international friendlies, MLS All-Star game, yadda yadda) but the files are all too large to post to RTX. Unfortunately I have tonight or else I would work on trimming them down so they could fit. Welp, with last weeks episode of Burn Notice still not watched and the USA/Belgium game being played while I'm at work, I will have ample time tomorrow to catch up on fixing these pictures. My favorite picture, is from the closed door session of Manchester United's practice for the MLS All-Star game. I took a picture wit Merry from Lord of the Rings. It may be on my other memory card though......

WowzaThree months since my last journal? Sorry about that folks. Not even a journal saying I'm going to RTX or an RTX update? Well I'm still alive, playing soccer and watching a ton of it. Last two months of work has had me work 10-12 straight days multiple times.
Now, I'm off to do laundry before work.

Serious questionI am not going to give any context to this question:
Is telling Person A that no one wants to ask Person B to go on vacation the same as saying no one wants to hang out with Person B?

Sport predictionsThere was that movie about a guy who could predict sport outcomes and then began to fail. I'm in that boat currently, sort of.
Out of the last 7 Super Bowls, the only pick I was wrong on, was the Indy/New Orleans game. Every game from Philly-NE on, I picked the correct team and the points within 3 points on both side. My last 3 years of March Madness, I have picked from the Sweet 16 on, correctly, picking the winners. This year though, in the ESPN RT bracket challenge, I failed miserably.
Today is a FIFA designated international Friendly date, meaning, most leagues (not the MLS becuase Don Garber is a psycho) are on hiatus while most of their players are playing in matches. Euro 2012 qualifiers are taking place all weekend long. Currently, England is up 2 nil on Wales. A score I predicted on Facebook.
I'm picking USA 3 over Argentina 2 for the game tonight.
Side note, I picked the Red Bulls to win 1-0 over Seattle last week right before kick off to my friend. This week, with the Red Bulls down most of their starting squad, I will go with a 2-2 draw at Columbus.

RTXAlright, so I have been a little more focused on soccer, than anything else the past few weeks. I've even began helping coach my brothers travel team, tactically. Helping the coach figure out formations and players in position from a game to game. I've also been picking up the amount of days I am out actually playing the game. My brother is a senior in hs so he is home around 11:30 and we go to the park, sometimes with a friend of mine, and practice. Mostly, it is his free or corner kicks he works on and I work on my net play. While I have the spring season starting up, I don't want to play in net.
However, I was supposed to go to LA in early May, to watch the NY Red Bulls play the Galaxy. Mainly, because my friend I split season ticket with, will be leaving for the Navy in July. We both wanted to watch former RB forward, Juan Pablo Angel, now a Galaxy, play. Well, my friend quit his job and now only collects unemployment so he has no disposable income.
That lead me to an easy decision, go to RTX, May 27-29. I missed PAX East and I will be missing PAX Prime due to my brother moving into college that weekend. I need a vacation and that will be it for 2011. Flying into Austin is simple and cheap. Flying out, is 700 bucks so I'm looking to take Amtrak, 56 hours, back here to NYC.
Anyone else going to try and go?
