HEY EVERYONE!I hope you all are doing awesome. After some convincing over on the tumblr I am back and lurking here.
I am finishing up an A.S. and an A.A. and after passing the NREMT I am also a nationally certified EMT. I have one last science course to take in the Fall and then FINITO. At the moment I'm getting into wild land firefighting for the experience while waiting for cities to open up their application process again.
Additionally I've been working on some really amazing things with Mr. Moe. If you follow him you'll know, or you should totally just check out his latest journals.
I'm really excited about things to come. :D Along with first responder stuff (if my gorram state ever sends my state certification to practice medicine) there are a lot of great projects coming up, and I'm super excited for the opportunities it'll bring.
Congrats on 10 years RT!A little late to the party but I had to pop back in to say congratulations to the RT Staff and community on reaching a landmark ten years! I couldn't believe it when I saw the e-mails and posts lurking around the internet, but I gotta say, well done guys. You deserve all the success you've gained and more.
It was strange timing because when I went through my closet the other day I found two shirts I had bought the moment the store opened. They are a little short now, but they hold some seriously good memories.
Tex and Caboose were my favorite characters way back when in middle school, and I was thrilled to get the shirts. I was wearing them almost all the time, it drove my mom insane.
I'm really excited to see what the future holds for RT, and I smile every time I see something about the staff and their amazing work on other sites. You guys are fantastic.
Cosplay and SchoolOh hey guys, it's been a little while. I hope you all are doing well! My summer was and still is chaotic.
On a positive note I've got some really great cosplays in store, and will be entering a costume contest possibly in February. We'll see how it goes but I can't wait to share the progress with all of you. One of them is going to be Silent Hill related, and it's going to be...Awesome, to say the least. Until then though I'll try to keep them a surprise.
I've got about two big costumes to get started on, but am always looking for suggestions from you guys on other costumes to create.
I'll probably still not be online much for updating. I've a lot going on in life, and am starting a medical degree along with my language degree this semester.
Clarifying some things.Alright I've gotten some messages both on site and off about RTX, RvBTO and the like and whether I'll be attending.
Going to Russia was not in my plans at all. I had everything scheduled out. School through the summer, conventions in June and July, and attending either RTX or RvBTO as permitted by money. Then I got accepted into the volunteer program and all those plans went out the window.
I leave before I can attend any of my conventions, as well as RTX and then I won't be back until after RvBTO or at the least exactly on the dates of the event. I'm cutting out a lot of my plans for the sake of international travel and a once in a lifetime experience.
It's nothing personal guys, and like I said, unexpected. Really, really unexpected. I cut a lot of costumes and am still working on a few to hopefully have finished for a convention in September for when I return. I don't think RT is going anywhere anytime soon and RTX looks like it's going to stay for a while too!
You can always find me on facebook under Aoited Aomi and I also do livestreams under my Aoina tag at livestream.com. Even if I'm not as active as I used to be, I'm still reachable.
I'll be spending my time there as a camp counselor and helping to teach English as well as do camp counselor stuff for Russian teens. Lord help me.
I am hoping to hop from Russia over to the UK after my stint there and if all goes according to plan would like to finally meet you elusive European friends of mine I've spoken with, some for six years or so.
Herp.So much for managing an update system here! D: Unfortunately I just don't have the time I used to for updates and getting online to keep a blog updated.
I hope you're all doing well. I barely scraped by with decent grades this last semester and this upcoming semester I'm enrolled at two colleges so I can get more done. As in cheating the system so I can be enrolled in more credits at once. Also it saves me time and money to intersperse some online courses.
I've had some serious money issues this month and until now was planning on attending RvBTO via road trip this summer. If I can get enough money to pay off tuition this semester and still have enough to do both the road trip and whatever costumes I have in mind. (Many of which I've cut down on.) Then I'll see y'all there.
Otherwise Texas is much closer. Mighty close ya might say.
How have you all been? What's going on in your life? Have a sit, tell me allll about it.
