Nerf Nerd (Redux)So I painted another one. For those who are interested, this one is the Nerf Rayven and it started out like this:
I sanded off the main insignia:
Then sprayed it black, thus:
Mid-stage painting, metallics and base layer on the casing:
Using masking tape for neat decals, which was an experiment that turned out fairly well:

I'll take another couple of pictures tomorrow when there's sun. Pretty happy with this bad boy. I'm thinking about doing more of these and perhaps even selling them - would any of you gorgeous nerds be interested, or am I the only Nerf maniac here?

MusingsI am still alive! I thought you should know. I haven't been journalling much, I know, but I've been lurking here and there.
How are your new years coming along? What's new with you all?
Still working, still gigging. Learning new songs again, after a fair while in which I was playing the same stuff ad nauseum. I've worked out a version of Adele's 'Someone Like You' for the Ukulele for the sheer hell of it. Still not doing much writing because I'm a bum.
I'm trying to get into the habit of cooking more but am terrible at coming up with ideas - do you guys have any suggestions for reasonably simple but interesting dishes?
