Because everyone else is.My thoughts on the Xbox One.
Good job just putting the hardware out first, that was smart THAT's what everyone wanted. I am personally excited about it and can't wait to own one. The features and power is amazing, I can't wait to see what games look like a year or two into it's life cycle. Now most people are concerned and ready to quit Xbox and run to Sony, because of the used game fee, and the no backwards compatibility. These things don't really concern me because I typically buy the games new, I will get some used games but I prefer new, I don't trust other owners to be good to the discs. So I'm not too concerned about a used game fee, it's just trying to get money back to the makers not the game stores. Now with this required download it makes the game playable WITHOUT the disc, I for one LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this trade off. That right there is one of the most exciting things about this console to me. The other issue I see a lot of people worried about it the lack of backwards compatibility, which I'll admit I;m bummed that my games on demand games, arcade games, and indie games are not joining me on my Xbox One for now. There may come the day that Xbox develops a emulator or some similar ability to play your games again. Plus, in this world of remakes and reboots, it only stands to reason that Xbox with remake 360 games and arcade games and probably even remade games over and over again. Now, I know what your thinking, "But I already bought those games once, they should be mine forever." what I'd like to point out to you is how many games did you "have" to re-buy for the 360, me personally there was all the Metal Gear Remakes, Halo Anniversary, even all the way back to Rush n' Attack, all re-bought. And if your so worried about you old games, keep your 360 and play your games still Xbox Live will connect both the 360 and the One together, these consoles are not different systems but different portals to access Xbox Live. It's not different that the difference between my 360 and my Windows phone, different hardware same destination.
Now the addition of the DVR is a huge plus in my book. Games like Halo and more recently joining, Call of Duty have added video capturing in their respective ways, but now ALL games will have that access. Now what quality and tools and maybe even premium HD fees that will be there we don't know but will find out soon enough. These tools only add to the experience, making it all more social and less you shoulda been there stories. Now that I've rambled on for a while now, those are some of the thoughts I had on the reveal. I'm excited, anxious, and all around ready for the next-gen of gaming and entertainment.

WELPFucked up last nights plan, too much booze and a good documentary called "Small Town Gay Bar" directed by Malcom Ingram. It's a look into the troubles of past and present for the gay community in the bible belt, centered around the small gay bars that are the communities only sanctuary. This film also has a haunting interview with Fred Phelps, leader of the Westboro Baptist Church. Sad, inspiring, frustrating and interesting to watch.

Back on the horseSo it been WAY too long since I drew. That statement is powerful enough, I've needed a creative release for a while and I don't know why I didn't draw earlier. But, now that I've decided to draw a comic book for the invitation to my wedding (oh side note I'm getting married 11-12-13 :D) I got back into it. SO my plan is to draw something every few days (hard to keep up anything more with a busy life). Anything from a new page in my book, to a toonish doodle of Batman, this is my goal. My skills have faded and it's time to renew them. So I figured I'd post here so I can create a sort of road map of my skills. If anyone wants to throw ideas out there that would be awesome, I might not get to them all but anything would help me push my skills further. So I should be posting later tonight keep an eye out!
