Well, fuck.You know what I missed yesterday? My 5 year RT anniversary.
I blame my parents getting married on the same day 30 years ago. Happy anniversary Mum and Dad!

10 Years of Rooster TeethI imagine by the time I wake up tomorrow, this site's going to be filled with journals along the lines of what I'm going to say.
It's 00:46 on April 1st, so despite my premature tweet yesterday (thanks a lot Auzzies for throwing me off), happy 10th birthday Rooster Teeth! I've only known you for a half of your life and a quarter of mine, but this site, the content, the staff and most importantly the kick ass community have become a pretty big part of my life. I've made some good friends here, we've gamed together, made vids together and in some cases, met up and had a beer together. I may not always be involved as much as I want here, but I know you guys are always here (full homo if you're a male and reading this).
So, to sum up, here's to many more years of this amazing site and the people that make it one of the greatest things ever... of all time.
And for the record, I'm celebrating early by watching the Recollection before bed.

Derpa Weekend HuntSorry for anyone who posted a Weekend Hunt this week that was ruined by my schedule. With the new job I'm finding I have a lot less time to post and read stuff here. It's only been one week so I don't want to go cancelling WH's again in case things change, but I'll be working on a plan to continue them in the future which I'll probably be putting up polls and such somewhere so it can benefit more people.
In the mean time, I'll post up the WH's as soon as I can, but you can always advertise your own one by sending out the forum link, it's also a good way to get a heads up for ones you may want to join in on.

End of an era, I guess.So I got my last payslip through from old job yesterday, and for the past four weeks I've been sat at home on garden leave for my duration period. You guys probably never realised this, but I made the little name I have for myself on the internet at that very job. From helping out on Achievement Hunter, to becoming a secret AH admin, forum mod, running achievement challenges, starting the Weekend Hunts, my old Top 5 lists and everything else; most of it was done at my desk between solving PC issues there.
And of course I joined Big Red Barrel while I was at that desk too. So in a way, it's kind of sad to be leaving there, if not for the people I'll miss working with, then for the e-history I have there. Still, given that I was facing redundancy, I'm still glad I jumped the gun and left before I could have been pushed into the deep end. But as anxious as I am about starting my new job, I get the feeling my time here during my working hours is going to be cut even more. Just, don't forget me.... okay?
I jest of course, I'll be working closer to home now so if anything I should have more time in the evenings now.
This 4 week period of no work kinda sucked though. I set a few goals for myself, and apart from FINALLY hitting 100,000 Gamerscore, I pretty much failed to complete any of them. But hey-ho, there's still time for all of that. So, as they say, onwards and upwards for better things. And you never know, if this job goes really well in my first year, RTX 2014 may have added Tudor. We can only hope...
