Idea for a Rooster Teeth ProjectAn Austin-based Rooster Teeth radio station, aka "Rooster Radio"

"Rooster Radio" could specialize in video game music/soundtracks, as well as music inspired by Internet culture.

Potential music genres include:
-Video game music (as well as remixes)
-8 bit
-Music and remixes from popular shows loved by the Internet (MLP, Adventure Time, and other cartoons/live action shows)
-Certain popular youtube music videos
-Dubstep (deal with it, it has a strong audience within the community)
-Music from community musicians

There could also be talk show segments, with commentary/news regarding video games, comics, film/tv, and Internet culture. Potentially broadcast over the Internet/satellite as well.

The idea came to me when I was thinking about applying for a radio job. No experience, but I have a great radio voice and superb public speaking skills. When I thought about what kind of music or show I would put on, this concept came to mind.

Agreed, this is a bit far fetched. However, don't tell me you wouldn't love to see this happen. To be able to listen to such music/talk in your car while driving around. I'm sure there are similar radio stations out there already, but I can't think of one. Should one be created, especially one backed by Rooster Teeth, I think it could be very successful.

Another Personal RT Community MilestoneI unlocked another Rooster Teeth community achievement last month.

Not only that but also:

I was a groomsman at @WingRaptor's wedding.

Me on the right, the lucky groom on the left.

Good times. Lovely ceremony, fun reception. I mean, brisket and vodka tonics? That's a great reception if I ever heard of one. @Radius55 was also there (he took the picture). It was a real good time.

Best wishes to Mat and Heather. Hope yall have/had a good time on that cruise.

Halo 4? This Friday? So, I was thinking about playing some Halo 4 for an hour, maybe two this Friday. Going for the Castle DLC achievements. Well, actually one, since I have the rest. But I'm willing to help others with the rest. Thinking maybe 6 or 7, Texas time? Who's down?

10 Years of Rooster TeethWow. 10 years. That's crazy, especially for an internet production company. It's crazy that there are high schoolers into Rooster Teeth that can say that it's been around for over half their life. Here's a quick breakdown of my life with Rooster Teeth these past 10 years, and how it influenced me.
May(ish) 2003
Shortly after my high school graduation, I was playing Halo 1 with @Sobe at my friend Josh's house. He showed us this funny Halo video on the internet. It was fucking hilarious. He showed us a few more, and we laughed our asses off. It was the first four episodes of RvB. I immediately started checking the site every day or two for new episodes. I was hooked.

October 2004
While checking RvB (which is what we called the site back then), I noticed the website had changed. It was no longer a simple video and forum site. You could sign up and make a profile. I promptly did so. And after watching RvB for over a year, I got hooked on Halo. Bought an xbox and xbox live.

November 2004
Get Halo 2. Start playing online. My world is forever changed.

Fall 2005
Me and @Sobe find the RT office in Buda, Texas. We go by for a visit. We pass @Matt on the stairs, and proceed to make eye contact and awkwardly stare at him as we pass. The office was locked. @Sobe went back later to drop off a menu for the restaurant we worked at. They banned him from the site for a few days.

2006 - 2007
Watch a lot of RvB. Buy Halo 3.

2008
Witness the birth of Achievement Hunter. Premiere of Pajamachievements. Watch a bunch of RvB

Spring 2009
Birth of RT Shorts. Buy Halo Wars.

August 2009
Me and @Sobe drop off some pan dulce at the second RT office on Congress avenue in Austin. New employee @Brandon accepts it, but can't let us in. Still, it was cool. Brandon sends me a thank you message on the site shortly after.

Fall 2009
Buy Halo 3:ODST. I play against @Burnie in a Halo 3 play date in the Team Mythic playlist. I tell him I was the one that brought the pan dulce.

May 2010
Get involved with the community group RvB:TX. We begin to try to organize a fan event in Austin.

Summer/Fall 2010
Meet with RvB:TX admins. Buy Halo: Reach.

February 2011
RTX announced. RvB:TX cancelled.

April 1st 2011
Visit the third (and current) RT office in south Austin for their 8th anniversary, as part of an RvB:TX group visit. Continue to make office visits every now and then.

May 2011
@Griffon emails me about volunteering for RTX. I accept.

May 27th, 28th, 29th, 2011
Volunteer as a Guardian at RTX 2011.

Fall 2011 - Spring 2012
Buy Halo: CE Anniversary. Continue to organize events with RvB:TX. Get confirmation of Guardianship for RTX 2012

July 7th, 8th, 2012
Volunteer as Guardian at RTX 2012.

Fall 2012
RvB:TX events, RT office visits, general community shenanigans. Buy Halo 4.

January 2013
Confirmation of Guardianship for RTX 2013

April 1st 2013
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROOSTER TEETH!

Man. So much has happened in 10 years. I mean, I've voted in three presidential elections! There's too much. I remember individual employees, coming and going. Countless users logging in for the last time. The birth and death of so many series and productions. With the exception of a month or two, I can say that I've been here for all of it. It's been great.

This October is my 9th anniversary of signing up. I've come so far. I'm involved in the community. I volunteer for Rooster Teeth events, and the occasional production. I've met nearly all of the RT employees, save for the recent hires and the animation team. Every now and then I see people online who are excited, even giddy, when they get to meet an RT employee. I still get a bit excited to see them too, but it makes me realize just how far I've come since I first saw RvB. I'm grateful to have the privilege to be involved in the community, and even moreso for each opportunity to help Rooster Teeth.

The past 10 years have been awesome. To Rooster Teeth and to the community, here's to 10 more.

Idea for a REALLY Crazy Halo TournamentStay with me here.

I think it'd be cool to have a multi-round, multi-tier Halo tournament where people competed in the whole franchise. Like a King of Halo tournament where the winner is crowned the best overall Halo player. Essentially, it would be 7 different tournaments. Cap it at 32 contestants. The winner is determined by total points, which are earned each round of each tier. Each game will be timed too. I imagine that the whole thing will be kind of a speed run as well. It might even take two days to finish. This is what it would look like:
Participants
32 Contestants, 7 Tiers

Tier 1 - Halo 1 Slayer
Round 1 - 1v1 Pistols, Hang 'Em High, 15 kills (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Rockets, Wizard, 10 kills (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Shotguns, Longest, 10 kills (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 Assault Rifles, Prisoner, 10 kills (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Snipers, Blood Gulch, 8 kills (16 pts for winning)

Tier 2 - Halo 2 Slayer
Round 1 - 1v1 BR's, Lockout, 15 kills (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Rockets, Ascension, 10 kills (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Shotguns, Ivory Tower, 10 kills (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 SMG's, Midship, 10 kills (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Snipers, Coagulation, 8 kills (16 pts for winning)

Tier 3 - Halo 3 Slayer
Round 1 - 1v1 BR's, Guardian, 15 kills (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Rockets, Narrows, 10 kills (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Shotguns, Snowbound, 10 kills (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 Assault Rifles, The Pit, 10 kills (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Snipers, Valhalla, 8 kills (16 pts for winning)

Tier 4 - Halo Wars Deathmatch
Round 1 - 1v1 Both using Prophet of Regret, Chasms (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Both using Captain Cutter, Pirth Outskirts (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Both using Sergeant Forge, Tundra (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 Both using Arbiter, Release (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Both using Professor Anders, Blood Gulch (16 pts for winning)

This one will obviously have to be timed. But Halo Wars works on a point system, so unfinished games will still have a winner. There are also plenty of things to use for tie-breakers if needed.

Tier 5 - Halo 3: ODST Firefight
This one would actually be a little different. Each contestant would have to play one set (not round) of Firefight on Tayari Plaza on Legendary. The players will then be ranked 1-32 on their total points. The bottom sixteen get 0 points, next eight get 1, next four get 3, next two get 7, 2nd place getting 15, and 1st getting 31. It works similarly to the bracket version of the other tiers, except they're ranked instead of competing 1v1. Where ties occur tie breakers will be determined first by time, then # of deaths.

Tier 6 - Halo: Reach Slayer
Round 1 - 1v1 DMR's, Powerhouse, 15 kills (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Rockets, Sword Base, 10 kills (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Shotguns, Reflection, 10 kills (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 Assault Rifles, Countdown, 10 kills (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Snipers, Hemorrhage, 8 kills (16 pts for winning)

Tier 7 - Halo 4 Infinity Slayer
Round 1 - 1v1 DMR's, Haven, 150 points (1 pt for advancing)
Round 2 - 1v1 Rockets, Solace, 100 points (2 pts for advancing)
Round 3 - 1v1 Shotguns, Adrift, 100 points (4 pts for advancing)
Round 4 - 1v1 BR's, Abandon, 100 points (8 pts for advancing)
Round 5 - 1v1 Snipers, Ragnarok, 80 points (16 pts for winning)

Determining the Winner
Add up each contestant's total points across each tier to determine final places and overall winner.

Yeah, I know that sounds like a crazy long and complicated tournament. I guess it could also only have 16 contestants and one less round each tier, if that's too much. It's just that, we have so many single game tournaments and so many Halo games. It'd be nice to have a big tournament that tests your overall Halo franchise skill.

I can dream.

Some Stuff & MusingsLooking for a job. I saw Rooster Teeth allows people to submit resumes. I live only about 25 minutes away from them, and I'm familiar with the office and personnel. On the fence about submitting one. Honestly, I am really not that qualified for their positions. I have no experience in film, television, information technology, or the internet. I have degrees in Psychology (Bachelor) and Criminal Justice (Masters), with experience in retail and foodservice. So, I doubt it'll be relevant to their job duties. But moreso, I don't want to be an overbearing "please hire me" fan. On the other hand, when looking for a job, it's a numbers game. What say you? Should I or shouldn't I?

Reddit finally got me. So, I'm on there now a little. Same username.

Might need help clearing out some land in Minecraft. Also probably going to want to get some people together to try to get the Halo 4 Castle dlc achievements. Depending on when a good weekend comes up, I may try to do one or both of these.

I'm playing a lot of Hexic HD lately. It's a bit old, but I like it.

I officially have all the Halo achievements. I have a big journal written up about it but I'll save it for when I get the Castle dlc achievements, which come out April 8th.

I really want to go to San Francisco to eat at Incanto and try their Leg of Beast.

Five Guys is good. Burger-wise, it kind of beats Whataburger. But, overall, Whataburger is still the best fast food burger meal.

I need to start exercising more. Gotta look good for RTX.

Going to try to eat healthier. I wish there was a healthy fast food joint. I love cooking, but hate having to do it often.

I guess that's it. Boring day.
