LentAlright, so I'm not a very public person. I dislike using Facebook to publish personal information. However, I do like Facebook chat, and just going through the News Feed to check up on my friends. I get on multiple times a day, and will sometimes log on 10 minutes after getting off. I'm addicted really.
Therefore, I have decided to give up Facebook for Lent. Now I'm not very religious, but this seems the perfect opportunity to test my self-discipline. I've removed Facebook from the favorites bar, and will now see how hard it is to go cold-turkey.
Will I make it? Will I survive my epic adventure into the realm of non-social networking? Will I ever conquer Finland?
We'll see....

Best Haircut EverSo, as I was preparing for my return to PSU, I decided it was time for a haircut. I wanted to look sharp for the coming semester, and my hair was way to thick anyway. So, I set out the morning of my return for a quick haircut before my mom and I would head to school. Once there, I was chatting away with the woman cutting my hair, talking about school, classes, how my summer went, etc... However, I made a joke about getting "terrible" news from my roommate. She, of course not knowing how un-serious a problem it was, asked what was the matter. I told her that my roommate, who is a really cool guy, was not bringing his XBOX 360 with him.
As it turns out, she is a mother of two, and both children like playing video games. However, they prefer the WII, God only knows why, and she currently has a 360 sitting in her parents attic. She proceeded to insist I take it and make use of it, otherwise she would throw it away. So now here I am, at school, expecting a 360 to show up in like the next two weeks, absolutely free! We are, of course, getting her something awesome for Christmas or something like that as a repayment/thank you. Feel free to envy me to the fullest extent!

School!Ok, I'm a student here in PA, and I love my college. PSU is the greatest place on earth, even better than Disney! You know why? Because there are no screaming kids, no world-weary parents, so much school spirit, football games, amazing classes, and the greatest sense of tradition ever! I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. PSU here I come!!!!! (In 16 days)

Team Fortress 2As you may or may not know, Team Fortress 2 has recently become free to play online. I gotta say, this game is a blast. I've always been a fan of first person shooters, and was not disappointed by the incredibly fun gameplay. Even though there was not a team slayer style match, I have loved getting to play the types of games I've never done much before. The only hitch in the awesomeness was that I was terrible to begin with. I've gotten the hang of it a bit more, but I'm still doing fairly poorly. So, I'm looking forward to learning and blowing stuff up! Go TF2!

Second Journal EntryOk, so I joined 4 months ago, and I can't say I've done a ton yet. However, I'm looking forward to a long history in the making with Rooster Teeth. RVB, Immersion, the comics, Fails of the Weak, and all the other wonderful parts of this company. They are always a big part of my day. So, here goes!

ReachSo my roommate just got Halo Reach for his XBOX 360, and I love it. I'd played before, so I'm just reworking my way through campaign. My favorite part has been getting to actually gain achievements. So I'm gonna look up some later and start cranking my way through them.
