Choo Choo!So I've been working at Staples Business Depot for about a year now. Things have been pretty crazy there. I've been generally helpful in every way, which means that I've worked in almost every department of the store. I've been "super person of the month." I got promoted to Administration Specialist 3 months ago (front office paperwork, dealing with the day end deposits and filing and stuff), and got a sideways promotion a few weeks ago to Inventory Control Specialist. I'm essentially in charge of the product coming in, and the product customers have returned that need to be sent back to the vendors. I have the full support of my managers, and I'm told that I could possibly get into the Management Trainee program in as little as 6-12 months.
On top of all of this, I have applied to school again, and been accepted for the winter semester. It's a 4 month, intensive course to become a Railway Conductor. I've always been fascinated with trains, and this is a good career for me, I think. Working in the yards with the trains, and eventually even becoming the driver.
of course, I have to tell my work about this sometime before January.
