WB Superstar USAThe other week while we were filming Next Next Gen, Gus told me about WB Superstar, a surprisingly unknown failed show. It's essentially a knockoff of American Idol but instead of advancing the talented people, they promote the horrible singers and tell them they are amazing.

I feel bad laughing at the contestants but I can't help but be entertained. Maybe I'm just a horrible person. That's probably the case.

Even though it's painful to watch and might make you feel like the world is a horrible place, here's Mario singing Old Time Rock N Roll.

I shit you not I was just talking about this show Tuesday.

I brought it up during that new singing show The Voice, I'm surprised people remember that show besides me.

"I feel bad laughing at the contestants"

Pretty sure everyone does it...not like WB aired it thinking people would feel terrible!!

I feel bad for laughing at them too... But I'd still rather watch it than any other talent show.

I can imagine the people who make this show standing outside of American Idol auditions and whoever does horrible, they just tell them, "Those guys, they don't know anything. Come on our show, and we'll guarantee to show off your talent...*snicker*"

Huh, I forgot all about that show. It was pretty funny, but I don't see how they could make another season without changing the series name.

I never would have expected a TV show to troll. What a pleasant surprise.

What was that whole bit with the underpants that was a pretty quick intense and just all around awkward conversation.... Was he trying to tell the woman of america he is all commando or was he really trying to boost Mario's ego that's a question.

oh god no!

Even if his voice didn't go too far away from monotone, no no no no no NO to that show...unless drunk and having fun laughing at the people on the show.

I can't believe this show wasn't more successful - I watch those talent shows purely for the hilariously bad performances! When all the terrible ones are gone, so is any interest I initially had...

Whenever I see videos like this something breaks inside me, and I feel sad.
I feel even more sad that this guy was actually serious but still couldn't do well... and he's made into a mockery.
I mean yeah, it's funny, but.. it almost hurts to laugh >_<

I am not a big fan of watching people make fools of themselves, so I'm glad this show isn't on anymore. I wouldn't have watched even if it was still on, but I'm it's gone none the less.

Is it better or worse than Charlie Hodge's Homeless karaoke?
