Fan Expo Canada 2011I went to Fan Expo Canada this past weekend for the second time, and it was EPIC!!!!!!!!!! I met a lot of awesome/famous people, got a lot of free stuff, and got a few things that were pretty awesome. The only downsides were that Joel and Matt weren't able to make it to the expo as planned, but at least Kathleen, Miles, Marshall, and the others were able to make it. The second downside is that I forgot my camera at home and all I had was my shitty camera phone that I can't take picture off of (as far as I know). Finally, I was looking to find a Green Lantern Power Battery kind of like the one Sheldon had in that one episode of The Big Bang Theory, but all I could find was the movie replica one that came with a ring and both lit up but it was $350. Now as most con goers know the dealers will dramatically lower their prices on the last day of a convention to try and sell their stuff so the don't have to lug so much shit home. I planned on doing that but the guy who had it sold it at the beginning of the second day.
Oh well, at least I got some other stuff that I wanted, like the Grifisms poster at the RT booth and getting Kathleen (Tex) to sign the poster on Grif's nuts. LOL!!!!! Plus I got a few different t-shirts, comics, and a new sonic screwdriver (9th/10th's). For those who don't know what a sonic screwdriver is then your not a big enough nerd to know. I also got an autographed picture of Micheal Shanks, and got to take a picture with him, and I got to hang out with JP Manoux, two things he's probably best known for is playing Vice Principle Hackett and Curtis the Caveman on Phil of the Future and playing S.T.A.N. on Aaron Stone, he is a really nice guy and awesome to talk to. To sum up, Fan Expo was awesome.
