Lazy Fool's DayIt's a shame I didn't put more effort into an April Fool's Day Prank this year. Normally, I'll write up a press release about something I or JengaJam is doing, but not really. This idea's been kicking around my head and would have needed a bit more, at least an audio trailer.
It can be summed up in two words: CLASS EFFECT
Before the high stakes, there was...HIGH SCHOOL! Join the fraternal Shepard twins at Citadel High surrounded with a familiar but younger cast, including Coach Anderson, Vice Principal Udina, Garrus, Quarian Exchange Student,Tali, Kaidan, Ashley and introducing LIL' Reaper (who is actually 20 feet tall), a young destroyer looking to escape the legacy of destruction he can't talk about with his organic pals.
Shepards' new "crew" is the "Mass Effect & Field" team of the Citadel High Normans, which is secretly an ROTC-like quasi military group. In addition to the coursework and social perils of any high school, they also counter the machinations of the Cerberus Club, lead by academic advisor Mr. Illusive Man, brilliant and beautiful Miranda, and the reluctant Jacob.
There'll be runs to other clubs and cliques too, like the Krogan students shuttled in from "outside the district", young Kasumi Goto and Thane honing their crafts, and perhaps even a production of the HMS pinafore staring a certain scientist salarian?
It all starts here, people. What got Garrus so into calibrations? Just how far back does Conrad Verner's hero worship complex go? What was The One who played Blasto like before his movie star ego got so big?
It would have been awesome. I would have commissioned drawings, recorded a trailer against the soundtrack to the final song from the original Mass Effect. I think the final result would have been something almost breakfast-club like.
Thanks for reading the things in my head that never were,
Jengaship

Legion as the creepy, yet mysterious, stalker of the "Shepard-Commander" twins?
