AWOLSo I'm on set tomorrow until the 25th so I'll be pretty AWOL around here. I'm 2nd ACing on a feature shooting on the red scarlet.
On addition to being AWOL for that I'll also be AWOL from RTX.
This saddens me, as I was looking forward to it, but I got the call from IATSE Local 600 (the camera union), and I'm being invited to take their Assistant Camerman test. This text Is offered once a year, and only 30 people are chosen to take it. The test is July 27-28, but the 7, 14, 21, are workshops were we go over the cameras that are on the test.
The workshops are optional, but missing one of them would put me at a severe disadvantage. This is a step forward in my career that I can't afford to miss.

It's going to suck not seeing you there, dude. So maybe I'll make it out to RT:Philly next year.
Best of luck with the exam. It's a hell of an opportunity for sure. No doubt it will make finding good work easier in the future if you pass.
