Tequila for breakfastI love this week's podcast. Skipping from a nice calm discussion at the beginning to a loud drunken slur-fight at the end is an excellent contrast. Note to self, stay quiet during conversations about math.
I'm not sure if I'm rubbish at math because of my desire to be rebellious against the "Asians are good at math" stereotype or if I'm subconsciously affected by the "girls are bad at math" stereotype... now I'm won...
I'm not sure if I'm rubbish at math because of my desire to be rebellious against the "Asians are good at math" stereotype or if I'm subconsciously affected by the "girls are bad at math" stereotype... now I'm wondering if there have been any longitudinal studies about math skills among Asian/Asian-American females. #informationscience
Yeah, Gavin, it was pretty bad. The worst part is that you were technically partially correct. There's just a difference between dependent and independent probability.
I got into a similar argument, when I thought that when you enter your 20s, you're actually in the second decade of your life, when in fact you're in your third (0-10, 10-20, 20-30 etc).
I loved the entire podcast I was really hoping someone would get smashed during it, but its okay that it did. I'm currently debating the odds of getting what you guys were talking about in the forums! This was the best podcast so far.
They've said its a lot of work to have to edit but that's only because they use a multi camera setup. I wish they would just point a single camera at the table.
I love it when Gavin is on the podcast; I can never tell if he's going to start an interesting conversation or a conversation that ends up being a downward spiral. As a person who takes and enjoys probability classes, your argument was especially entertaining to me.
Actually, I love everybody on the podcast, come to think of it.
You can always redeem yourself, by drinking even more in the next Podcast Drinking Game and winning that loud drunken slur fight by being louder and drunker. I personally thought you almost had it last time.
Let me tell y'all a little story... You see, I've only ever had one run-in with Republic... And it was brought to a small get-together by a couple of guys from Minnesota... (now, if you know anything about Texas, things that are cool in other places, like having your own model trucks and Tequila, are not that huge of a deal here) So, after playing quarters and showing us Texans some weird way that they use lime salt, the two drunk idiots game up with a brilliant idea... The cap of Republic is actually a star... And they decided to brand themselves with awesome Republic Texan-ness,,,, And it was HILARIOUS... That's honestly the only memory of Republic I have... And now this... Let's face it, it's MUCH more entertaining in the hands of these guys!!!!!
"I hope it isn't a math problem!"

they are planning to Live Stream the podcast on TwitchTV right?
