I Gave that Michael an Itch...Fuck you I don't like itches.

I am currently covered head to toe bit of an exaggeration in calamine lotion to help subdue the itching caused by poison ivy, but I have to wait until tomorrow to start a Prednisone treatment...I am goes crazy trying not to itch EVERYWHERE. Once the meds start, should be gone in a few days, hopefully. Fuck you nature for doing this to me, I thought we were friends...

Hot shower, rinse don't scrub. Then draw a hot bath and dump 1/2 cup of baking soda in and soak, should relieve a fair amount of the itching

I got poison oak once when I was young--all over my back and on my neck--it got into my bloodstream and swelled the left half of my face up. My eye was swollen shut. They put me on some sort of liquid drugs to counteract whatever it was. Needless to say, I was seven, on vacation, and hyped up on drugs. I didn't sleep for two days and my parents legitimately considered strapping me to the roof rack when we got stuck in D.C. traffic on the way home.

Good times...

When my brother was younger, he had to go on Prednisone like me, but him being so little, and Prednisone being a form of a steroid, he was ballistic. So yeah, I know that feel bro

Aw man, I'm sorry to hear that. A girl I work with is also very susceptible to it, and we are in it a lot.
But me, I work all the time identifying plants, and basically rub poison ivy all over and have had no reaction so far. I was thinking of trying poison ivy tea. (Just kidding, that's way too much work)

I've found that slapping skin that itches has a similar effect as scratching it, in that it temporarily numbs the area, and because it's not scratching it's much easier to do it without causing lasting damage to the skin.
