BAMLife's been pretty busy guy since returning from Toronto a couple weekends ago. I came back to a full work schedule, then spent only two days off afterward hanging out for the RvBOR festivities. Naturally, I also did some shooting for this event (more on that to come later, of course). After returning to work for several more shifts, I've now been spending spare time the last few days developing what you see here, shots from the Friday night festivities at RVBTO.

Without further ado, some of my personal favorites:

Crazy thing about shooting 1300 photos in a weekend (after having almost two years of practice with my camera and speedlite): I get a LOT of usable shots. I'm still not done adjusting all the Friday night shots (18 still to go). With the 83 I plan to publish from Friday completed, that only takes me up to frame 177.

Yup. That's a 46.9% keep rate so far, which is far higher than any I've ever managed in a single day out.

When asked about post-processing work by people at RVBTO, I seem to recall that I estimated I'd probably spend about 20 hours on photo processing and publishing. I'm starting to think it'll be more than that...

Off to sleep now. Back to work for two more shifts at the hospital starting tonight, then back to work on photos during my days off.

P.S. While you're here, maybe have a look at the RVBTO 2012 Collection on the Official RVBTO Flickr account. I and a couple other photographers have been granted access to the account to publish our work, and there's a lot of good stuff going up there with more to come soon. (Hint, hint)

P.P.S. Oh, and because the Mrs and I are apparently masochists, we recently hired some contractors and broke ground on a landscaping project here at home. We're doing a complete overhaul of the back yard and redoing parts of the front yard. While organizing this project has also been a bit of a energy drain, things are progressing well, and we're looking forward to seeing the final results. The first phase of the project has been in progress for 12 days now and should be done within the next week.
