Ok, fine...I love Dr. Who.

I'm on Episode 11 and I'm pretty much hooked.

I really do love the special effects. I'm sure the digital effects get better as the series progresses, but I'm the kind of guy the prefers the guy in the gorilla suit over subpar CGI.

So, do you guys have any other recommendations for TV shows on Netflix to watch? I'm caught up on The Office, Parks and Rec (hilarious, if you haven't seen this, watch it), Psych, and 24 (of course).

P.S. 283 watchers? Lots of bored people out there, huh?

If you haven't watched Archer, definitely worth the watch. Really funny, and well written.

I enjoyed Eureka. The series just ended but I'm ready to go back and watch from the beginning again. It's more of a dramedy, episodes are an hour long and there's plenty of sciencey techno babble but fun stuff too.

Breaking Bad? I heard a lot about it from the podcast and other places, so I'm on season 3 now. It's pretty interesting.

Oh, yeah dude. I love me some Breaking Bad. Season 3 and 4 are GOOOOOD. I'm excited for you.

I can't believe I forgot to throw that on the list.

Ah, nice. I'm on the disc only plan right now because I didn't use the streaming enough, but between being overworked and recently sick, it's taking a while to get through everything. Wishing I could get through the series much faster, just don't have the time.

I've heard things about it. Maybe Dr. Who is the baby step into more BBC stuff. I've watched a few episodes of Spaced, but nothing more in terms of British programs.

Also the BBC edition called Sherlock is a jewel of jewels as well.

You could try Warehouse 13, Life, Weeds, White Collar, Lie to Me. And if you're not already watching Breaking Bad you should take a few minutes, examine your life, take the next week off, and become thoroughly addicted.

I LOST interest in... LOST. I may have to pick it back up. I believe I stopped during season 4.

My dad watched Smallville when it was coming on and I caught a few episodes. It didn't really just wow me, but I may have to give it a go sometime. As far as the others, I'll throw them on my li...

Also, Touch is incredible. Not sure if it's because I love the show or if it's because I miss 24 and Jack Bauer, but I can't wait for Season 2.

Downton Abby is really really good! I have seen season one and took a break when I got into game of thrones mode. But I want to get back into it.

WELCOME NEW WHOVIAN!

I'm going to get booed by SOMEONE for this, but I recommend Dollhouse. The entire run is on Netflix. It's seemingly very episodic at first, but stick with it past the first three or four episodes. The plot gets good. I may never watch it again because the emotional devastation it inflicted upon me was brutal. But it was worth it.
#12  Posted 9 months ago  |  + 1 Cool
Do it. Trust me. It's worth it.

ONCE. It's worth it ONCE. And have whisky available. You'll need it. It gets brutal. Joss is so mean to his characters.

You should watch Buffy season 1 at least. It was a mid season replacement and it's only 12 eps long. Go from there to see if it's your thing, but for me the best season is two, hands down. Maybe we do the 2 hr pilot for a CV.

I'm on my second run of GoT... so freaking awesome. I've seen a shitton of Scrubs, but became uninterested in the later seasons. Metalocalypse was fun in 15 minute increments, but I have only seen one of the 30 min shows. Does it hold up well?

The first season is the best season for Metalocalypse, but I still recommend watching all the episodes, they still are funny.

Oh shit, also. If you're getting into the BBC feel of Netflix, try Sherlock if you haven't already. I think the latest episodes are up. There's only six, but they're soooooo gooooooooooood.

It's a full series, but each episode is about 90 minutes, and there's only six. Three episodes per season. Seasons 1 and 2 have aired but the 3rd doesn't start until summer 2013. Mostly because the two main actors, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, are busy with The Hobbit movi...

So I finally jumped on the Breaking Bad band wagon and I'm all caught up. Great show, really good stuff. Still think you'll love Castle and Burn Notice.

And Supernatural, you will love it my friend!

Sherlock, Like James said. Can't recommend it enough.

Supernatural is a very good show. Agan, can't recommend it enough.

Life on Mars. It's only two seasons, and it may be hard to find since it ended a few years ago, and it's from Britain.

I'd say definitely check out Mad Men and Life. I've also heard good things about Friday Night Lights and Weeds.

friday night lights is pretty awesome if you totally ignore season 2. It never happened, like spiderman sequel movies never happened.

Also, weeds was a GREAT concept and it was good for a couple seasons and then it shit the bed pretty royally. MAYBE worth checking out just for the novelty of it b...
