Time Lapse TestA few months ago I bought myself a velometer to use for extended timed exposures (my camera can natively only do up to 30 seconds) and time lapse photography because I've always had an incredible soft spot for time lapse videos. I finally got around to trying it out last week in New Hampshire. It's incredibly easy to use, but the one downside is that of course you have to stand around the whole time the camera's going about its business without you, which was a test of wills when standing out in single-digit temperatures.
Anyway, I was only able to do 3 test shots. All of them are set to 20-second intervals, which I realize now might actually be more time than I need for good effect in most cases. I'll definitely be playing around with it more. I'd love to get a
slider at some point for full effect, but that's an indulgence I can't imagine being able to justify anytime soon (particularly with plenty of other pricey and more practical things I could use right now).
