Scouts and gays
So the Boy Scouts of America has decided to allow openly gay boys to join. Someone was talking to me about how I must be so proud, since I'm an Eagle Scout. I informed them that not only am I not proud. I would prefer if they didn't associate me with Scouting. Some of you may know my position on this, but I consider it insulting to talk like this is some great progressive step forward for America. We're talking about a group that talks about openness and acceptance and loving one another, THAT ACTIVELY TAKES A STANCE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF CIVIL RIGHTS. If I had known how shitty the Boy Scouts of America was when I actually was a Scout, I would have dropped out immediately. So they finally "allowed" gay kids into Scouts. Still can't have gay leaders. I've known several gay men (and women for that matter) who have children from a previous marriage or through adoption that love their children with all their heart. They aren't pedophiles or deviants, they're normal loving parents much like you or I have had. Those parents are still not allowed to take their child through the experience of scouting. I've known girls who've always known in the deepest part of their heart that they want to be a guy. They will never be allowed to be a scout. I know people who don't believe in god who think that doing whatever they can to help people around them is more important than what preacher they listen to. These people will never be in Scouts (unless they don't talk about it). Until the Boy Scouts of America can say that they let in anyone who wants to be a Scout, I don't even want to be associated with them. |

Full disclosure: I understand that the female population on RT is small, though growing, it is still small. That means that while there is tons of money in marketing That being said, I have a bit of a wish list of items I would like to give Rooster Teeth money for. You will find that list below.
RvB nail Polish:OPI often releases themed nail polish colors and in my dream of dreams there would be RvB nail polish in three sets: Red Team, Blue Team, and Project Freelancer.
Each set would have nail polish colors that reflect the different team members armor colors. We would also have black and green Achievement Hunter nail polish. You know, for funsies.
Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter Sunglasses:One red pair, one blue pair, one green pair. Rooster Teeth with cock bite logo on the sides of the red and blue pair. Achievement Hunter with their logo on the green pair. I'd wear the shit out of those. And maybe a purple pair, cause people like grapes.
Some Athletic Gear:We are all trying to get Fit4RTX so why not be out there repping Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter in style!

I would also be totally cool with some Achievement Hunter 80's style head bands and sweat bands.
RTX ShirtsI was really expecting an RTX shirt or RTX specific something last year. I was hoping we could buy one of those awesome red and blue shirts I was seeing some of the cast, crew, and local volunteers in. Nope. I love the red and blue they chose for those shirts. I loved the design and white lettering. They were really perfect shirts. RT why you no let me buy one?
Also since it is nine bagillion degrees in Austin in the summer, why not have an RTX tank for sale? This razor back tank by American Apparel is pretty damn perfect and comes in all the right colors. This tank is awesome too.
Currently I a perfectly enamored with the shot glasses and pint glasses that Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter sell. They are awesome. The Plush Grifball was killer. The slap bands are super fun. I seriously love my RWBY and AA button sets.
But mostly when I go to the store I feel overwhelmed with t-shirts. I like a lot of the designs on them, and some are just perfect. However, it feels like t-shirt overload over there. Some of the t-shirts, well it feels like they said oh t-shirt Tuesday we need a design let's just do this. It makes me feel like wow, was it really more important that you release a new t-shirt even if it sucks? Couldn't you have used that opportunity to re-release a popular shirt in women's cut? Nope? Cool, thanks. Hope your shirt sells tons... But like I said battle for another day.
So if I ever find a magic lamp and it has a genie and I get to make a wish. I will wish for these products in the store and I won't forget to wish that they are top sellers.
