Sharing the loveI had an interesting day today, after finishing a long and tiring day at work I dropped into EB Games to finally buy borderlands to study for some prop making projects. As I stood there my eyes scavenging the xbox table, I heard a red vs blue PSA for Halo 4 playing on a nearby monitor. Immediately my respect for the people working in the store increased as I heard them quoting it word for word. Then I noticed something strange, a young boy, probably 13 or 14, had stopped looking at his ps3 game and was staring intently at the monitor, fascinated with these Halo characters with bobbing heads and random voices strange voices. As I walked over to him I saw him becoming humoured with the voices. I waited until it ended and then asked him if he knew what that was. He said that he'd never seen it before and thought it was pretty cool. So I began the tale of Red vs Blue, its series, Roosterteeth, achievement hunters, everything. The turning point was as I whipped out my iPod and played some short bits and pieces from season 4 and season 9 to show the wide variety in Red vs Blue's repertoire.
After some time of showing some of my personal favourite RvB scenes, the boys mum said he needs to leave, reluctantly he left thanking me as he walked off, swearing to sign up to the site as soon as he got home.
Its nice to share the love sometimes!
I have been struggling to think of my first journal, I think just the word journal makes the feeling of writing this post feel so much more significant than on Facebook, and somewhat more meaningful.
Welcome to me, expect more journals of adventures, prop builds, random splattering attempts at art, and more on myself and my life!
