It was pretty good. Another "War of the Worlds" movie, but it looked different. Better if you can ignore the bad science.
For instance... I guess the "amplified signal" to contact other intelligent life is suppose to explain how they got it to travel faster than the speed of light. Of course the aliens attacking in less than a decade sort of implies that they were capable of faster then light travel.
The built in advertisement for the Hasbro game Battleship didn't seem too intrusive. Though I suspect the game is just the standard Battleship game?
