Fahrenheit/Indigo ProphecyOk, so I just finished this game (and by finished, I mean played a couple times so I can be sure I got all the endings, etc.) and I'm going to talk about it. Spoilers commence now:
Ok, up till about 2/3 of the way through the game, I was totally digging it. The story of an ordinary person thrust into a mystical world, ancient Mayan civilization, etc, etc. Not just that, but it was an interactive movie, where I got to pick the plot and make everything happen the way I wanted it to.
Then I hit the 2/3 mark. You aren't a normal human. You have this mystical Chroma energy that makes you capable of playing with the big boys. Also, you're dead.
Oh, and that plot thing? Yeah, you can't change it. I don't even get some of the points that you can change. You can save Marcus, but not Tiffany. Would it have made such a huge change in the plot if you picked up the phone in that sleazy hotel and had the following choice: Call Tiffany/Call Marcus? C'mon. Or, instead of the sequence in the park happening the way it did, have it branch there with a decision to jump to safety, or throw her to safety. Or a dozen other ways. But nooooo, this is the way it is, you end up with Carla, blah blah blah.
Overall though, still a good game, well worth picking up the European version. The American version is censored. ("We can't take sex! Just leave all the violence in!" Assholes.)
