Famous peopleHave you ever met anybody famous? I've met Rick Mercer, a canadian comedian famous for "This Hour Has 22 minutes" and "Talking to Americans". The same day I met the GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Brian Burke (who I'm convinced is a robot). I was in KAF on Canada day, and they were having a "party" and a few notable canadians showed up for morale and stuff.
Anyways, I was beside the stage, having a smoke with Rick and he seemed a little run down. It's like a 16 hour flight straight from Canada, and they landed in a desert that morning, I could understand that. Everybody else there was asking for photos and while he is a bit of a Canadian celebrity,...

Anyways, I was beside the stage, having a smoke with Rick and he seemed a little run down. It's like a 16 hour flight straight from Canada, and they landed in a desert that morning, I could understand that. Everybody else there was asking for photos and while he is a bit of a Canadian celebrity, but he's just a person too. I tried to just chat with him and ask him about himself and how he liked doing these things, it was his 6th visit.
I was talking about soccer with my friend, and told him if I ever met David Beckham in the street or something I'd just ask him about his tattoos and not mention football once. I don't know if that's just my own idea of comedy, or just trying to find the humble in someone.
What do you think about celebrities? I know being in the spotlight like attracts a certain type of attention, but do you think they are still people? Or something else all together?
