      Red vs. Blue

So, the season premiere of RvB Season 10 came out earlier today. It was awesome, of course, but there's something that's really bothering me. Now, I know what you're thinking. What could possibly bother me about something as amazing as Red vs. Blue? Well, it's my own fault, really. The fact is, I have no idea what the hell is going on! I watched the episode, and, well, I didn't understand at all what they were talking about or where they were, and I couldn't really remember who all of the characters were. I know there's a simple solution to this problem. I just need to rewatch it. If not all of, then from the end of the Blood Gulch Chronicles or something. And, though I'd love any excuse to watch old episodes of Red vs. Blue, I can't seem to find the time to watch it in. I'm at school most of the time, I'm trying to write a novel, at some point I'd like to play AC Brotherhood. And, then of course there's those stupid little things like food, and sleep, and a social life (they're always getting in my way), plus when I'm not at school, I tend to have a fair amount of homework. So, my solution? Write a journal entry to bitch at anyone who cares. Thank you.

      Camp Grafton

I've done the same thing every summer for my entire life. I've gone to Camp Grafton on the Shuswap Lake. There was this one year that I tried going to Eagle Bay Camp across the lake, because that was where my friends went, but it's suuuuuuper religious over there and I'm, well, not. At all. So we didn't really meld well. ANYWAYS, Grafton is owned by Kamloops United Church, which is basically a church of stodgy old people with arthritis so bad they can barely walk down the halls of their nursing homes. They decided that, to fund a housing project and revamp their church, they would sell a huge chunk of the land that the camp sits on. On Sunday, they passed a vote to see whether they would or not. The catch is, the only people who were allowed to vote were the afore mentioned stodgy old people, and a lot of them have been trying to sell the camp for years. No one else - like the people who actually go to the camp - were allowed to vote. Predictably, we lost the vote and that large chunk of land is going to be sold unless there's something else we can do. One of our main ideas right now is to buy some of the land that they want to sell back from them. To do this we'd need about 400'000 to 700'000 dollars. Basically, what I'm trying to say is this: does anybody have any ideas about how to raise that much money? We have some time to raise it in, the sale won't go through any time soon, but we want to get started on it ASAP, so if you read this, and you have an idea, please comment!

      People on the Internet

Wow, aren't you lucky! Two journals in one day. I just have a lot on my mind at the moment.
SO, I was on this website that I go on, it's called Wattpad. Basically, people write stories, and as they write a chapter they post it to the site for other people to read, vote on and comment on. I read a lot of these books, but I hate having to wait for new chapters to come out, so I tend to only read completed books. This was going fine until I finished reading this one book, and then found out that there was a sequel to it that the author was in the middle of writing. Naturally, I start reading the sequel, and got up to the point that the author had written to, and was kind of disappointed that there wasn't anything else to read. Because of this, I made the stupid mistake of posting "See, this is why I only read completed stories, then I don't have to wait for new chapters to come out" in the comment section. There was an outrage. I got about five replies all telling me how idiotic I was for posting that comment, saying things like "Well, why didn't you just wait until the whole story was done and then read it? Stop whining." And other nasty things. In my head, of course, all the people who replied had stupid internet people voices (Oddly enough, I use the same voice when mocking my brother :P ) I hate internet people. Except for the internet people reading this post. I love you. Like a hamster, that is.

      Valentine's Day

The weirdest thing about Valentine's Day to me is how strongly people always seem to feel about it. It's like, either people hate it because they're alone and seeing everyone else so happy depresses them (but really, why should it? Selfish whore), or they're completely in love with someone and Valentine's Day is the perfect day to tell the world how they feel. As with most things, I'm neutral. I'm single, but seeing happy people doesn't make me unhappy, that's just weird to me. Valentine's Day is just like any other day, really. If you're with someone, it's nice to have a specific day - or more, depending on how many anniversaries you celebrate - to be romantic and cuddly with them. I don't know, I just don't see the point in being unhappy when it's not going to change anything, I guess.

      IAWTV Awards

So, I was bored and thought 'Hey, I'll watch the IAWTV awards'. Burnie came up, didn't win. Immersion came up and it didn't win either. Then RvB came up and it won! And then the video glitched and I missed Burnie's ENTIRE speech! I was so pissed, especially because I was sitting with my sister and she's not really into Red vs Blue, so I couldn't complain about it to her. :( Now I'm sad. But, happy that Red vs Blue won! Congrats, guys! You deserve it!

      Happy New Years

So, I guess it's 2012 pretty much every where in the world as I write this and so far, not as exciting as I was hoping. I guess New Years is one of those times where you just expect something more substantial to happen, you know? It's like on your birthday, you get all excited and worked up, and then on the actual day you're just kind of... unimpressed. Everyone asks you "So, do you feel a year older?" And you're like "I was expecting to feel a lot older all of a sudden but no, I really just feel a day older." It's the same with New Years. Ageing doesn't just get built up and accumulated until your birthday or New Year and then just hit you. This isn't a video game, you don't gain experience points and then click the 'level up' button. No, this is life. And unlike a video game, life kinda sucks.

      Halo: CE Anniversary Edition

Today, my brother went out before I woke up. This isn't surprising considering I woke up at 12:30pm and he gets off work at about 11am. So, after work he went to the store and bought the new Halo game. I love Halo, but although the game is awesome, it just seemed slightly underwhelming. It was great, sure, but it just didn't have that extra punch that would have made it fantastic, which was what I was expecting. Also, although the graphics are far better than the original CE, I feel like they weren't as good as in Reach. I don't know why that is, considering they should have been better than in Reach, considering the time in between the two games. I give it an 8 out of 10. Not terrible, not WOW-worthy. It's good though, and definitely playable.

      COD

Soooo..... I've never like COD. I tried MW2 and didn't like it, and I've always liked Halo, so I thought I'd just stick to what I know. But then, my brother went out and bought MW3. At first (for about the first two days) I decided I really didn't want to play it. And then I did. Now I'm confused. It was awesome. And yet, I feel like a dumbass admitting I was wrong about COD all this time. Maybe I'll try MW2 again, just to make sure I was right. Halo's still better though... I think.

      Rooster Teeth Store

I love getting packages. It's my favouritest thing in the world. It's like the postal company's sending you a present just for being you. Yesterday I got a package that was even more exciting than most packages. That's because it contained a shirt that I ordered for my best friend, Liz. It didn't even really matter that the contents of the package wouldn't end up with me. It had my name on it and said From: Rooster Teeth Store in that tiny writing, and that was enough to get me super duper excited.

      Thanksgiving

I just realized how good it is that I live in Canada, considering my Thanksgiving traditions. Every year, my entire family - out of town cousins included - all spend Thanksgiving weekend out at this summer camp on the Shuswap Lake. Considering it's early October and the altitude is fairly high, the temperature is about fricken cold and this camp isn't one of those fancy shmancy summer camp/resorts. No, we have outhouses (biffies) and plywood wall cabins. My toes were freezing off at night. I don't think I'd survive that two months closer to winter.

The watergate scandal was when US president Richard Nixon did stuff like get people to essentially spy for him to earn a second term. He was in the oval office and was recorded saying stuff to people that would ruin his career. This is just a very basic explanation of what happened.
