Hmmm..Interesting night last night, sometimes the audacity and lack of thought from people is astounding. It's like you just want to run up and shake the shit out of them till they get a clue, but I was a good girl, I held my tongue. Mostly owing to the fact that I figured the intense mental strain might kill them.

I live in an apartment building with a small work out room on the bottom floor. I go late at night, usually anywhere between nine and midnight. I like to avoid people, this is for good reason. That night I was just doing my usual routine and watching The Colbert Report, when two young girls came bouncing in, wearing shorts that would probably fit my three year old neice better. I just ignore them and go back to watching TV, then one of their cellphones go off, and she starts talking to some person loudly, eventually going into the fact, (for some reason I have no idea), that the girl with her hadn't been a virgin for a long while. The other girl didn't seem to care at all she just sat there grinning all air-headed like. Eventually they both go to a treadmill and one of them gets hers started fine, and the other complains hers isn't working. Now it doesn't really take a genius to do these things I'm pretty sure I got it on the first try. You press the start button and it says plainly across the screen, Belt starting in 3.. 2.. 1. I suppose she assumed since it wasn't starting right away there was something wrong, so the other girl bounces over to help and I just kind of stare at them in awe as they both start pushing the start button together, trying to put their fully body weight down on it. One of them finally turns around to look at me and asks if I know how to start it. I just kind of looked at her for a moment and said "Uhm... well you have to press the button and wait three seconds."

They tell me I'm smart and ask what they would do without me and I just kind of.. fake a laugh, praying they get tired quick and just leave. There are two TV's in the workout room and I only keep one on when I'm in there alone, so the girl on the treadmill nearest the one that was not turned on flicks it on and immediately turns to MTV... and the real world. Now this is bad enough as it is but nooo, they proceed to torture me more when the other girl decides she wants to watch it to, goes over to the TV I am watching, and changes it to the same channel. Now I want to speak up but finally decide it doesn't matter all that damn much anyway, as I wouldn't be able to hear it over them and the other TV. I tried to take myself to a happy place while contuinally hoping the roof would cave in and I'd be put out of my misery, they stayed a lot longer then I was hoping they would, of course.
