      Okay, seriously . . . THUNDERSTORMS.

Post here if you love thunderstorms. I am listening to one right now, I've got the windows flung open and the roll of thunder is coming in, along with the smell of warm rain and wind. It's staring at a fire . . . suddenly time and civilization melt away. You could be anywhere in human history or in the world. Does it sound crazy to say that it's like nature is trying to talk to the animal in us? Really, storms touch something primal in me . . . something about the power of it all, and how suddenly the world is wildly unrecognizable . . .

It's beautiful, and frightening, and awe-inspiring. I want to go out in it.

One final note about the hair . . .

All the pink is gone, it's been cut out of it. Sorry, fans of pink hair. My hair is vaguely blonde now. I'm considering what color to go next. Teal, maybe? Hmmmm . . .

      Wow, I feel so loved!

I am sorry I kept you all waiting, I guess . . . I didn't know that I had so many people INVOLVED in my life! I FEEL LOVED! You all rock, I am sorry for the absence.

Well what news. The big news is that I cut my hair pretty short, it's too hot in Southern California for long hair, even hair that was never that long (see picture.) I should post some pictures of my new haircut . . . except . . . I am so forgetful! Oh well wait two weeks, and maybe keep messaging me and I'll get to it. =) Mostly I am told it looks good, but some people get really offended by a girl with short hair. I don't know why. I didn't even think about it until I became just that: a girl with short hair. Seriously, especially among older men, I get weird stares and "what a pity" kind of looks. However, I LIKE IT.

I'm studying Chinese and Film mostly this semester, and it's fascinating. I'm beginning to nurse an insane, impossible dream of making films. Kung fu! No, seriously. I know it's crazy but I'm beginning to really believe that it's good to do crazy things. We only have the one life as far as we know right? And I've definitely made up my mind to go to China sometime next year. If I don't go in college, when will I go? . . . After college? Maybe . . .

Anyway so far it's been a good year, getting along with my old friends and all of that. Playing lots of Jade Empire these days, WHAT a great game. It's taking over from KOTOR as my favorite game ever. Beautiful game, just wonderful. The dark side ending . . . wow. Or should I say the "Closed Fist" ending? It blows the hell out of any other RPG. Also playing lots of DOA again, I kind of relapsed. It happens every few months, I have to get out all those lime green cases and play the oldies. Oldies to me include anything not made within the last year.

FIREFLY. Wow. If you haven't watched it, you should. I borrowed the first disc from a friend, and she hasn't been in her room lately so I can't get the other discs. I'm going insane. I gots the chills!

I've also restarted the whole "writing/drawing" thing. It's no good and nothing I would want to share, but it helps me. It taps my imagination so I can get other things done. It's a good thing for me to go do when my eyes start to hurt from too much staring at a screen. Ah, the life of a gamernerd.

We have lightsabers in our windows and people occasionally yell up from the street and tell us how cool they are, how how big of losers we are. Either way, we already know.

Well more updates later, but I've got Chinese homework to do and David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" to watch for Film Class! Hope all of you that bother reading all these take care of yourselves, sorry for the delay again--I didn't know my journal entries were in demand--and have a lovely fall. Not that I won't post again until fall is over or anything . . . *cough cough* I'll try! I'll try really hard!

      There will be updates!

Well work has been really busy lately but I'm about to go back to school at which point, my life will actually settle down a little. This has been some summer. I PROMISE THERE WILL BE UPDATES, AND MORE JOURNALS!

    • Ingridia

      Who has the time . . .

. . . to do journal entries? Not I, there is KotOR to be had.

LotR FANS: Omitted Scene in RotK:EE

SPOILER AHEAD for those who are sensitive to such things.

I hear there will be no Scouring of the Shire. Peter Jackson didn't even film that part, having no liking for it from the beginning. Anyone else annoyed by this? I thought it was fairly important to the story, and a lot of people say that is their favorite part of the books! Saruman got majorly screwed in RotK, I have to say . . . Let me know what you think.

If you haven't already, check out www.lordoftherings.net to see the new EE trailer. More Saruman scenes, but no Scouring of the Shire.

      Donnie Darko kicks ass.

No really, it does. You hear fans of said film talk about it so much, it seems like something that hype would have damaged . . . not at all. I loved it. What a fantastic flick.

Fading pink hair of avatar is gone now, I just dyed it hot pink again . . . I love it. Also dyed my roommate's hair purple again, and did a great job. I'm getting really good!

Ahh yah hardly anybody plays Leifang. Its been a while since I've played but on DoA 3 I used Bass and Tina for tag team or just Tina for single. With my friends we usualy did Tag team. DoA ultimate I started practicing with Hayabusa but I beat all my friends and now they dont want to play anymore har har. I got really good at reading them so I could counter like crazy. Spring break is almost here so maybe I'll pick it up again and see how I do online. I really would like to get my hands on DoA 4 but I cant afford a 360.
